Pollution Essay in English

Definition of pollution:

Contamination of environment by the harmful components that contaminate air, land and soil is called pollution. Pollution cause adverse drifts among the environment and living things. It is responsible for premature deaths over 9 million of population of every year estimation. As we can say that human is mainly responsible who contaminates his own earth.

Pollution is nothing but the resources we are not harvesting ·

R. Buckminster Fuller

Pollution is sometimes naturally created by the disruption of volcanoes while sometimes it is caused by the human such as trash run off from factories and industries.

Types of pollution:

Mainly, there are three types of pollution as following:

Water pollution

Air contamination

Soil or land pollution

Causes of pollution:

Pollution is caused by the trash that is thrown into lands and water. Trash has two types:

  1. Biodegradable: Things that are digestible by the microbes and are less harmful.
  2. NonBiodegradable:  These are the trash components that are not consumed by the microbes and causes severe pollution within land and water.

Land and water pollution:

Components that cause pollution are known as pollutants. Pollutants may cause severe diseases for both human and animals. Land pollution is caused by the run off of chemicals and trash into open lands and water resources.

Industries and factories are running at a broader area of land. Many harmful contaminants are produced by them. These contaminants cause all types of pollution. If run off into and these contaminate soil. Harmful chemicals add dangerous chemicals to the soil. These may barren soil.

If these are added into water these cause water pollution. Water pollution is the reason affecting marine and aquatic life. Much of the aquatic population is endangered because of less quality of water to survive.

Air contamination:

Harmful gases because of the industrial activities of human are added into air. These lessen the air quality.

The ration of carbon dioxide and carbon mono oxide is rising which is a threat to livings. Ozone gas is responsible for the depletion of atmospheric region around earth. It causes holes and in return harmful sun rays are entered into the atmosphere that adversely affect human.

Air pollution is also caused by the gases added by the factories into air. These gases may cause lowering of oxygen into air.

Conservation of Environment:

Environment is the part of land where livings exist. Pollution and degradation of land may cause dangerous effects to the environment. Conservation is necessary to survive livings. We have to manage our personal activities that contaminate environment. If we continue degrading environment, a time will reach when we have a lesser qualities of land to live.

Strategies to conserve environment:

  1. Balance the ecosystem
  2. Stop to pollute environment
  3. Less use of natural resources.

These are the adaptations that must be followed for the environment conservation.

Afforestation:

Afforestation is the transverse of pollution. We may produce better environment by growing trees at broader area of land.

“A nation that destroys its soils destroys itself. Forests are the lungs of our land, purifying the air and giving fresh strength to our people. ”

Franklin D

All the progressed countries take steps to prevent deforestation and growing trees to make the quality of air much better than before.

Trees clean the air and add oxygen which is necessary to live.
